How to make up for the shortcomings of cattle and sheep farming technology

The technology of raising beef cattle by Chinese farmers mostly relies on experience accumulation, lacking necessary guidance on breeding technology, and the breeding management is also very extensive. There are problems such as mixed beef cattle breeds, unscientific feed formulas, long growth cycles, low slaughter rates, and poor meat quality, which lead to poor breeding efficiency, low grade of beef cattle products, and low grade of processed products; Beef cattle farmers urgently need universities or research institutions to provide targeted solutions to the technical difficulties in beef cattle breeding, breeding, disease prevention and control, cowshed construction, ketone grading, and other key technologies in China. In response to the above issues, Xingyang Hengli Breeding Machinery Factory has developed an electric feeding truck for cattle and sheep, modern construction parameters for cattle and sheep sheds, an automatic manure cleaning machine for cattle and sheep sheds, and a roughage and fine feed processing unit to compensate for the inadequate management of the breeding farm.

（2） The large-scale production system for beef cattle has not yet been formed

From the analysis of breeding scale, small-scale breeding with an annual output of less than 10 beef cattle accounts for a large proportion, while large-scale and intensive breeding with an annual output of more than 100 beef cattle accounts for a small proportion. This indicates that centralized, scientific, and modern production and fattening bases have not yet been widely promoted, and the quality of beef produced by such production methods is difficult to guarantee. At present, the production of beef cattle in China is mainly based on decentralized feeding, non designated slaughtering, and market sales, which cannot form a large-scale beef cattle production system. The inventory of beef cattle in Inner Mongolia is increasing, but specialized standardized and large-scale beef cattle breeding bases need to be further popularized. The existence of small-scale breeding farms has enabled small electric feeding trucks and hay cutters for cattle and sheep to play a powerful role in the farm, improving efficiency and reducing breeding costs.
